Our History
Channels of Love was founded by Abraham and Rose Joseph.
As residents of North Karnataka, they witnessed the severe consequences of acute poverty on the region's most vulnerable citizens - children.
In 1978, they started a small scale orphanage in their own home to nurse and care for destitute children.
Over 3 decades, this endeavour has grown to become one of the oldest comprehensive rehabilitation centres for abjectly poor and critically unsafe children in the area. Today, Channels of Love encompasses residential, medical and educational facilities.
COL continues to be an integral part of the Joseph family's philanthropic efforts. It is now managed by the Founders' son, Leslie Joseph.
